Ron Varadero Rum
At Santiago de Cuba in 1862, with the support of the Spanish crown, the Varadero Rum Distillery produced the first aged and bottled rum. Using molasses from Cuba’s famous sugar cane they produced a a light Rum. That is, clean and naturally distilled to reach its perfect level of alcohol. Santiago de Cuba has long been the second most important city on the island after Havana, and still producing an extraordinary rum.
